C1 Driver Training

The C1 licence category covers vehicles with a weight between 3,500kg and 7,500kg.

Happy to provide high quality training to anyone needing this category of licence our trainers specialise in working with those wishing to work as ambulance technicians and paramedics. They have the knowledge and experience to not only get you through your DSA test from start to finish (with an enviable pass rate) but also introduce some of the Roadcraft skills that are the basis of the advanced and blue lights courses.

Offering 1 to 1 training in ambulance sized vehicles will give you the confidence not only to pass this test but also make you well placed for your future career.

D1 Driver Training

Becoming increasingly in demand as those without inherited rights (grandfather's) become fewer and fewer in the workplace success in your D1 minibus course and test allows you to drive vehicles with up to 16 passenger seats. For schools, colleges and similar organisations there is generally no need to undertake any further training for driver CPC or tachograph (though w can of course help with that if needed).

Friendly and patient our trainers will put you at your ease and pass on to you the skill set you need to keep you, your vehicle and of course your passengers safe and comfortable.

B+E Trailer Training

Whilst the requirement to take a towing test (B+E) has now been removed the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 still makes it clear that 'adequate training and supervision' is required.

In many ways removing the prescribed test is an opportunity for your business to have drivers trained in a more task specific way, making our training highly relevant to your needs rather than a generic test that often leaves many unanswered questions.

Our trainers have many years of experience towing all manner of trailers both large and small as well as the flexibility to provide detailed instruction on your specific requirements to ensure safe connecting, disconnecting and maneuvering practices are learned and understood. To this end we supply the trainer and you supply the vehicle, trailer and if required load. This makes for the most realistic and relevant training possible - we believe a recipe for safety.

Course dates, times and content are entirely flexible so please use our contact form or give us a call to see how we can help your business stay safe.

ADR (Dangerous Goods) Training

Working at our location and with one of our established trainers we are happy to provide a full range of Dangerous Goods (ADR) training courses.

Running in small groups to ensure every student receives detailed tuition we offer initial qualification, refresher qualification as well as specialist modules (explosives, radio-actives & tankers).

Using recognised, approved training material coupled with extensive trainer knowledge and many examples of "What happens if it goes wrong" students will gain a thorough understanding of the basics of dangerous goods as well as in depth knowledge of specific risks and mitigation.

The initial course runs for 3 full days with computer based multiple choice exams on day 4. Additional / specialised modules require extra days. Subject to SQA's (the awarding body for dangerous goods) running smoothly students get their results on the same day meaning as soon as their qualification card arrives they are good to go.

Although the ADR qualification is aimed at drivers it provides an extremely sound and valuable knowledge base for all those involved in the planning, handling and storing of dangerous goods ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety at Work's 'adequate training and supervision' requirements.

We aim to be running these courses in early 2022 and will publish dates, courses and costs here shortly.
