CITB

Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) is a nationally recognised Industry Training Board for the construction sector in the UK. ​Dedicated to improving skills, and responding to the many challenges employers may face, CITB work as a partner in the Sector Skills Council.

As a CITB Approved Training Organisation, The Training Society can offer you a variety of CITB accredited qualifications.

PASMA

Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers Association (PASMA) is globally recognised accredited body for mobile access towers, completing this course successfully will enable the learner to be able to assemble, use, alter, dismantle and inspect equipment safely as well as covering current regulations and legislation.

PASMA offer a number of courses, which we run from our approved training centre, please see below for details on these.

IPAF

The Training Society are happy to announce that we have a large indoor area for all our International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) training situated just on the outskirts of Derby City Centre. We will price match if you have been quoted cheaper elsewhere.

If you require dates that are not listed please ask, the dates are open courses only. For our Demonstrator and Load-Unload courses please ask for available dates.

NRSWA Streetworks

The Training Society provide Initial Operative/Supervisor (5 Days), Re-Assessment Operative/Supervisor (2 days) and UNITS S1 Monitoring Signing Lighting and Guarding training courses.

Mental Health First Aid

First Aid

First Aid is the first and immediate assistance provided when a person is injured or unwell.

We can also offer various paediatric first aid courses.

Short Courses

The Training Society provide various short training courses including Fire Warden/Marshal, Cat Locator with Generator, Abrasive Wheel, Safety Harness & Lanyard, Traffic Controller – Banksman, Sharps Awareness, Working at Heights, Manual Handling and Noise Awareness.

​Confined Spaces

The Training Society provide a range of City & Guilds and CITB approved courses, all of which are suitable for many industries. Courses are highly practical – and are taught in state-of-the-art facilities which include conditions that replicate what a person may encounter when working in real confined spaces such as tunnels, pits, sewers or tanks.

Our trainers can simulate what it’s like to enter, exit and work in spaces which are considered a high, medium or low risk confined space. Also, how to escape, and if necessary, carry out a rescue in a safe manner.

CPCS, NPORS & AITT Plant Training

We have partnered with local companies to offer Construction Plant Competence Scheme (CPCS), NPORS and NVQ's.

Plant training will be priced on an individual basis, based on prior experience.
